INTEL CORE i3 530 VS AMD ATHLON II X3 455 REVIEW

We are testing the Intel Core i3 530 processor against the AMD Athlon II X3 455 processor. The Intel Core i3 530 is clocked at 2900Mhz and the AMD Athlon II X3 455 is clocked at 3300Mhz. We will be using Benchmarks for testing the Intel Core i3 530 and AMD Athlon II X3 455 which are:- Divx, Povray, Sysmark 2007, Windows Media Encoder, Dragon Age Origins and World of Warcraft. The Intel Core i3 530 has 13% lower clock speed than the AMD Athlon II X3 455 but the Intel Core i3 530 has 4MB L3 Cache while the AMD Athlon II X3 455 has none. The Intel Core i3 530 is 32nm using Clarkdale with Socket 1156. The AMD Athlon II X3 455 is 45nm using Rana with Socket AM3 so let's see the performance they offer.
