We are testing the Intel Core i5 2500K processor against the AMD Phenom II X4 970 processor. The Intel Core i5 2500K is clocked at 3300Mhz and the AMD Phenom II X4 970 is clocked at 3500Mhz. We will be using Benchmarks for testing the Intel Core i5 2500K and AMD Phenom II X4 970 which are:- Divx, Povray, Sysmark 2007, Windows Media Encoder, Dragon Age Origins and World of Warcraft. The Intel Core i5 2500K has 6% lower clock speed than the AMD Phenom II X4 970 and both have 6MB L3 Cache. The Intel Core i5 2500K also has Intel Turbo Boost Technology for an extra advantage to make up for the 6% lower clock speed disadvantage.

We are testing the AMD Phenom II X4 970 CPU against the AMD Phenom II X4 955 CPU. The AMD Phenom II X4 970 is clocked at 3500Mhz and the AMD Phenom II X4 955 is clocked at 3200Mhz. We will be using Benchmarks for testing the AMD Phenom II X4 970 and AMD Phenom II X4 955 which are:- Divx, Povray, Sysmark 2007, Windows Media Encoder, Fall Out 3 and Left for Dead 2. The AMD Phenom II X4 970 has 9% higher clock speed than the AMD Phenom II X4 955 but both have 6MB L3 Cache so the AMD Phenom II X4 970 should have the advantage.

AMD ATHLON II X3 455 VS AMD ATHLON II X4 620 REVIEW

We are testing the Athlon II X3 455 CPU against the Athlon II X4 620 CPU. The Athlon II X3 455 is clocked at 3300Mhz and the Athlon II X4 620 is clocked at 2600Mhz. We will be using Benchmarks for testing the Athlon II X3 455 and Athlon II X4 620 which are:- Divx, Povray, Sysmark 2007, Windows Media Encoder, Dragon Age Origins and World of Warcraft. The AMD Athlon II X3 455 might be Triple Core but the AMD Athlon II X4 620 is Quad Core which will help performance. However the AMD Athlon II X3 455 is clocked 22% faster than the AMD Athlon II X4 620 so it's doing to be an interesting review.
